Since January multiple millions of words have been written and spoken about the "Lewinsky Scandal."

That is false labeling. What has transpired over the last eight months is, in fact, THE CLINTON SCANDAL. Regrettably, it is also a national scandal of Clintonian proportions. Monica Lewinsky, though by no means an "innocent babe" in this sordid affair, is only a bit player. All the blame must be placed securely on the ever-moving, always-twisting shoulders of our nation's chief executive, William (Blythe) Clinton. It is he -- and he alone -- who has turned his office into an Oval Bedroom and his home into a veritable Whore House. It was he -- and he alone -- who, singlehandedly, dragged the lofty office of president of the United States through the slime of national and international scandal. In the words of London's Evening Standard, Clinton "contrived to insult the intelligence of the American people with a shifty, mealy-mouthed and legalistic ramble in which he unblushingly claimed that his earlier claim not to have had 'sexual relations' was legally accurate.'" As seen by French TV analyst Alexandre Adler, Clinton has "sunk the world's leading power in the mire of scandal and low comedy." The ratings for the new American soap opera, As the White House Turns, have pushed all the competition into the shadows.
Clearly, Clinton has made the United States the laughing stock of the world.
It is Clinton -- and Clinton alone -- who must bear the full blame and responsibility for his own despicable actions. The buck stops in the Oval Bedroom. In availing himself of Monica's "services," Clinton was -- in the words of New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd -- "really using in the crudest way someone who was extraordinarily gullible and obviously madly in love with him, someone who would have done anything for him."
As clinical psychologist Dr. Paul Fick astutely observed as long ago as 1994, "Clinton is someone who has a significant psychological disorder. He needs treatment. He suffers from Compulsive Sexual Disorder.
This is a constant striving for more and more sex. It is a pathological behavior that does not get better by itself. They exhibit such tendencies as to lie and bend the truth, deny or set aside harsh realities, and become energized by self-created chaos. They also tend to assume a heroic role and strive to excel and be liked by everyone. With relative ease, one can predict [as of 1994] that Clinton's sexual appetite will continue to produce problems for his presidency" (The Dysfunctional President: Inside the Mind of Bill Clinton, Carol Publishing, Secausus, NJ). As a result of his significant psychological disorder, Clinton may even have considered what Joseph Sobran calls his "walk-in harem" one of his executive privileges.
What we have witnessed since January is vintage Slick Willie. This is the way he has operated throughout his life -- in both public and private situations. Clinton is a relentless user, abuser, and exploiter of people þ especially women. Over the years he has consistently used and abused people in the furtherance of his own political agenda -- and for the satisfaction of his own lustful passions. Once they have served their purpose, they are discarded þ trashed. He has never shown remorse -- and there have never been any indications of change in his modus operandi.
Clinton is obviously made of the "wrong stuff." He's defective goods. He's a national disgrace. For the good of the country he should be forced from office -- by impeachment if necessary.
The real lack of character that is personified in Bill Clinton's life has been dramatically emphasized in the events of the last eight months. He -- and he alone -- is 100 percent responsibility for what has transpired during these fateful months. It was his own contempt for basic morality, for his own family, for his close associates, and particularly for the American people that has led inexorably to the present crisis.
He adamantly refused to acknowledge that he, (1) had seduced Monica Lewinsky, (2) had been guilty of a terrible lapse in judgment, and (3) repeatedly and willfully lied to everyone concerned.
In January, had he forthrightly, (A) admitted these painful facts, (B) taken full responsibility for his lustful stupidity and incredible recklessness, and (C) pleaded for the forgiveness and forbearance of the American people, the storm would probably have passed over within a matter of days.
But that is not the way Slick Willie operates. He's a born liar and manipulator. He doesn't possess the modicum of moral fiber necessary to make such a noble and manly admission. Such gallantry is totally foreign to him. By blatantly lying as usual, he thought he could once again pull the wool over the eyes of the American sheeple. But that, thankfully, was not to be.
Instead of coming clean, he reverted once again to his customary tactics of deception, slurs, innuendoes, defamation of character, and distortion of fact. He let loose his rabid White House pit bulls -- led by James Carville -- in a desperate effort to once again distract, confuse, and mislead the American people. In a reckless attempt to save his own miserable hide, Clinton and his unscrupulous spin doctors launched vicious attacks on independent counsel Kenneth Starr and everyone else who attempted to get to the bottom of this Clinton-generated cesspool of moral depravity. They were called "Clinton bashers" who had a "vendetta against the president." Their efforts were ridiculed. Kenneth Starr, we were told daily on numerous TV shows, "hates Clinton" and wants to destroy him. Carville and his fellow goons took up the mantra that Kenneth Starr was "obsessed with sex." [Congressman Jerry Nadler, D-NY, even called Starr "a federally-paid sex policeman"]. We were told Starr was guilty of "wasting $40 million" in a fruitless attempt to "get the president." [Ignored, of course, was the fact that the Starr grand jury has thus far resulted in some 15 convictions for criminal activity]. The Clintonistas obviously don't want to be confused with the facts!] White House staffers were trotted out to give what were frequently emotional testimonials on behalf of their purer-than-the-driven- snow boss. Unfortunately for these air-headed true believers, they sacrificed their personal reputations -- and accrued enormous personal legal bills -- to defend their lying boss. How could Clinton -- a man who "cares" so much for people, and who "feels [their] pain" so deeply -- subject people to such emotional and economic abuse? Simple! He thinks only of #1.
Thankfully, this sickening charade came to an end when, on August 6, Monica Lewinsky -- under threat of indictment for earlier lying under oath -- testified truthfully before the grand jury regarding her illicit affair with the president. Clinton's time-consuming, money-wasting seven-month campaign of non-stop legal maneuvering, defamation, vilification, and artful dodging was exposed for what it really was -- a desperate effort to once again deceive the American people. It was clear all along that honor, integrity, truth, honesty, self-discipline, and basic morality have no place in the Clinton administration.
With the sleazy cat now completely out of the bag -- and with all his lying excuses apparently shredded -- Clinton was faced with a monumental decision: Would he, perhaps for the first time in his life, come clean with the American people? Would he acknowledge his wanton ways? Would he confess his sins? In what the Oregonian called "the most public forum imaginable," he had the opportunity to redeem himself.
This was a true test of his character -- "The peculiar qualities, impressed by nature or habit on a person, which distinguishes him from others...." (Webster, 1828). And he blew it! He failed the test. In what was described as "somber and defiant tones," he issued a half-hearted apology that was so couched in nebulous terms as to be basically irrelevant. To add insult to injury, he then immediately reverted to Slick Willie 101 -- an attack on independent counsel Kenneth Starr for allegedly causing all his problems: "I [have] real and serious concerns [about] the independent counsel [whose] investigation moved on to my staff and friends, then into my private life.... This has gone on for too long and hurt too many innocent people.... "Our country has been distracted by this matter for too long.... Now it is time -- in fact, it is past time -- to move on.
"WE have important work to do -- and real opportunities to seize, real problems to solve, real security matters to face.
"And so tonight, I ask YOU to turn away from the spectacle of the last seven months, to repair the fabric of OUR national discourse and to turn OUR attention to all the challenges and all the promise of the next American century.
"Thank you for watching. And good night."
In Slick Willieeze, Clinton is saying he doesn't have a real problem. It is up to YOU (dumb sheeple out there in TV land) to turn away from and ignore what he is doing. Notice that he DIDN'T say anything about HIS turning away from what he is doing. You see, it's YOUR responsibility to repair the national fabric. In other words, it is YOUR responsibility -- NOT HIS -- to put things right.
No wonder Senator Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, chairman of the Judiciary Committee immediately responded: "Wasn't that pathetic? I tell you, what a jerk. That's the biggest mistake he has ever made."
When the majority of Americans didn't buy his "pathetic" line of non-reasoning, a major distraction was called for. It now became necessary for Clinton to do something "presidential" that would demonstrate his magnificent leadership. The recent terrorist bombings of the American embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, presented him with an almost perfect opportunity to demonstrate his decisiveness in true "Rambo" fashion.
Just three days after Clinton's half-hearted, excuse-laden admission of wrongdoing fell flat on its face, he ordered massive attacks on "terrorist camps" in Afghanistan and an alleged "terrorist" chemical factory in the Sudan. The fact that this scenario bore a remarkable likeness to the one followed in the recent hit movie, Wag the Dog, was recognized by millions. Such a possibility was, of course, vehemently denied by the Clinton White House.
Support for the belief that Clinton followed a Wag the Dog scenario quickly emerged. All the intelligence data needed to make a decision to bomb the facilities in Afghanistan and the Sudan was available 3 days after the attacks on our African embassies. Why delay retaliation? It also emerged that the raids on the terrorist facilities was decided upon before Clinton made his speech.
With this clearly established, he went through the motions of "going on vacation" in Martha's Vineyard with his wife and daughter. Within hours of his arrival at the resort area, it was announced that a very important announcement was about to be made. With every ounce of phony "drama" that could be mustered, the president went on TV to announce that -- even at that very moment -- the terrorist camps were being attacked with missiles.
As a result of this national crisis our noble leader was being forced to sacrifice his much-needed vacation to return to Washington to handle vital affairs of state. What a magnificent leader! Truly "Presidential"!
Independent counsel Starr chuckled when asked about the timing of the Afghan raid: "I'm not going to comment," he said.
The speed with which the perpetrators of the African bombings were identified -- and several rounded up -- has prompted some skeptics to suggest that maybe the CIA was involved in some way. One is also prompted to ask another question: If a crime that occurred half way round the world can be solved within days by our intelligence service, how come the same people are obstructing in every way possible the county grand jury currently investigating the real truth behind the Oklahoma City bombing of 1995? Think about it!
When the viciously deceitful campaign of character assassination and buck passing collapsed with Monica Lewinsky's confessions to the Starr grand jury, the Clinton White House immediately changed its tactics.
They called off James Carville and his original "spin" and character assassination teams, and sent in the "Reverend" Jesse Jackson. In a sense, Jackson became Clinton's "man of God."
Jackson, whose reputation as a con man, unscrupulous political manipulator, and shady businessman is thoroughly documented in Barbara A. Reynold's book, Jesse Jackson: The Man, the Movement, the Myth, "prayed with the Clintons" in their hour of need. That must have been quite a "prayer" -- even if it didn't make its way above the ceiling of the room in which it was uttered!
Jackson then went on national TV in an attempt to divert the public's attention from Clinton's multitudinous problems. However, what Jackson didn't say was much more important than what he did say. Without citing chapter and verse, Jackson drew an analogy between King David of ancient Israel and President Clinton (see II Samuel 11:1- II Samuel 12:1-14). God, he said, had forgiven David for his adulterous relationship with Bathsheba. He then strongly implied that it would be the godly thing if the American public were to "forgive" Clinton for his adulterous relationship with Lewinsky -- not to mention his hundreds of other illicit relationships over the years.
As far as that analogy went ol' Jesse was on solid ground. However, not being one to stay an unnecessary amount of time in such unfamiliar territory, the "Reverend" Jackson immediately veered off on another tack in an effort to mislead the sheeple still further. But back to reality. To understand the REAL truth we need to know the rest of the story -- the part of the David-Bathsheba story that the deceitful "Reverend" conveniently left out. David did commit adultery with Bathsheba. In a desperate effort to cover up the truth (Bathsheba was pregnant with David's child) and prevent it from reaching a nationwide audience, he deliberately had Bathsheba's husband, Uriah, killed. The child, he thought, could now be passed off as belonging to Uriah -- and no one would be any the wiser. As with Clinton in modern times, truth, honesty, and integrity were never the issue. The goal was always to deceive, to misled, to cover-up. But the Sovereign God of heaven works in wondrous ways. He sent a true man of God, Nathan, to confront David with his sin. Nathan laid everything on the line. He told David that although he had done this wickedness "secretly," God would deal with him "before all Israel and before the sun" (II Samuel 12:12). And he did!
But here's the bottom line -- and the all important part that Clinton's "man of God" very conveniently and very deceitfully left out. How did King David react when his sin was exposed? Did he send out an army of "spin doctors" and "damage control experts" to manipulate "public opinion"? Did he send out character assassins to smear Nathan and his friends who were obviously "obsessed with sex" and "had a vendetta against the king"?
No! David said: "I have sinned against the Lord." Later, as the author of Psalm 51, he made no excuses.
He came completely clear. Read his words: "Have mercy upon me, O God, according to your loving kindness: according unto the multitude of thy loving kindness, blot out my transgression.
"Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. "For I acknowledge my transgression; and my sin is ever before me. "Against thee, thee only, have I sinned....(v.1-4)
"Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me and I shall be whiter than snow....(v.7)
"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise...." (v.17
Why did the "Reverend" Jackson not mention these facts? Simply because he knew there was no true similarity between the final attitude of King David and that of President Clinton. His sole purpose was to create that false perception in the minds of the gullible public.
When exposed, David acknowledged his "sin" ... his "transgression" ... his "iniquity." He had "a broken and contrite heart." He deeply repented. He pleaded for God's mercy and forgiveness -- and that was granted.
Without acknowledgment of sin and without repentance there would have been no forgiveness.
That's the bottom line -- the fact that "Reverend" Jackson conveniently overlooked when asking the American people to "forgive" their president.
President Clinton has never acknowledged his moral depravity. He has never shown any sign of repenting of his actions. At best, he is sorry he got caught! It is, therefore, ludicrous to talk of "forgiveness" until there is a complete change of attitude. As in the case of King David, acknowledgement of sin and true repentance precede forgiveness. If the two words have any meaning it cannot logically be otherwise. "By their fruits shall we know them."
Enough is enough! From the beginning of his political career Slick Willie gained his nickname the old-fashioned way -- he earned it. All along that devious and twisting path, his has been a life of deceit, political corruption, betrayal of friends, and illegal activities. As U.S. Army General Harold N. Campbell so boldly stated, from youth Clinton has been a "draft-dodging, pot-smoking, gay-loving, womanizer."
Videos such as The Clinton Chronicles, Obstruction of Justice, and The Mena Cover-up -- as well as fifty individuals who were closely associated with Clinton have lost their lives over the years -- by violent means or under suspicious circumstances. Many more live in fear of being "silenced" in a similar manner. Harassment, coercion, intimidation, pressure, and the ever-present threat of retaliation keep them quiet.
It must be noted that Bill Clinton was the man chosen by the Establishment to be our nation's leader. He was introduced at the Bilderberg meeting in Baden Baden, Germany, in 1991 as America's next president.
They knew his background. They knew all about his character -- or, more correctly, his lack thereof. They knew his strong leftist leanings. They knew all about his moral degeneracy. And they covered up all of the above. They obviously love his politics -- and his political agenda.
With the Y2K crisis looming ever larger on the horizon, we need to seriously consider the threat posed to our nation if Bill Clinton remains in the Oval Office for the next two years. In the event of a "national emergency" -- real or contrived -- he could implement the various Executive Orders now on the books.
These draconian laws would give Clinton and his motley crew virtual dictatorial powers over every phase and facet of American life.
Is there any better reason why President Bill Clinton should leave office -- NOW? We don't believe so.
Frankly, our nation has no hope of healing until we get rid of this festering scab from our body politic.
We conclude with some excellent advice for President Clinton. It comes from Richard "Tricky Dick" Nixon. It is tailor-made for Slick Willie: "There is no way you could apologize that is more eloquent, more decisive, more finite -- or to say you are sorry -- which would exceed resigning the presidency of the United States" (Interview with Frank Gannon, replayed on 60 Minutes, August 23, 1998).
Richard Nixon was decisive. He resigned. Here is some good advice for President Clinton: "Go and do likewise."
