GONE WITH THE WIND?

By Des Griffin

Des Griffin - article from Midnight MessengerMost people know of the classic 1939 movie, Gone With the Wind. It graphically portrays  the American Civil War (1861-1865) and its aftermath. Following the war, the historical South was truly “gone with the wind” ... never to reappear. As a result of that epic struggle, the very foundations of the great American Republic — the “America” of our Founding Fathers — were irreparably damaged. Since then, the structure has been steadily cracking, crumbling, and falling apart at the seams. Time has ravaged the once noble experiment (“a City on a Hill,” John Winthrop) and reduced it to a pathetic image of its former greatness.

Unrecognized by most, a massive “wind of change” has been blowing with ever-increasing intensity across the United States and around the world for many years. Its intensity has recently reached gale force status, as it tears apart the few remaining threads of civilization that hold the world together. Its destructiveness threatens to force the nations of the world back into an era of barbarism that most assumed had long-since vanished.

Worldwide, that “wind of change” has manifested itself by way of a massive globalized “urban renewal” program in which nearly 200 formerly sovereign, independent states are being systematically bulldozed out of existence — flattened to make way for a  planned new world order ruled over in feudal fashion by an intellectual and banking elite.

Though plans for the implementation of such a diabolical plot had been many years in preparation, it wasn’t until the beginning of the 1960s that they were placed in “fast forward.” Up to that time, although many nations were periodically involved in wars, the sovereignty of individual nations was generally respected worldwide.

AFRICA

A critically important development began to unfold on the African continent following World War II.  It totally reversed policies that had been in effect for more than 100 years. But first, by way of explanation, we need to understand what had previously taken place in that part of the world.

Apart from a few outposts established along the west coast of Africa during the 16th and 17th centuries,  the “Dark Continent” had been basically left to its own devices from time immemorial. What early European visitors found was truly depressing. In 1797, the Encyclopedia Britannica stated of the native African: “Vices the most notorious seem to be the portion of this unhappy race. Idleness, treachery, vengeance, cruelty, impudence, stealing, lying, debauchery and incompetence, are said to have extinguished the principles of natural law and to have silenced the reproofs of conscience. They are strangers to every sentiment of compassion and are an awful example of the corruption of man when left to himself.”

In the nineteenth century things slowly began to change. In the 1850s, when British and other European explorers, colonists, and missionaries arrived on the scene, they didn’t steal the wealth of the African continent. None existed. Through individual initiative, hard work, creativity, and long-term planning — and frequently at great cost, hardship and loss of life — the Europeans tamed and developed sections of the continent that for thousands of years under its native inhabitants had remained mostly an untamed and undeveloped jungle. Ruled in a demonic and tyrannical fashion by witch doctors, practicing cannibalism, and living in close proximity to innumerable warring tribes which practiced witchcraft and ancestor worship, there was no indication of the natives having made any kind of progress. In other words, for millennia the Dark Continent had survived at a bare subsistence level, awaiting the arrival of the Europeans. It was the much maligned and far from perfect Europeans who were responsible for developing Africa. They build the dams that made unarable land productive. They built houses and roads and, above all, provided the natives with security for lands and homes that was formerly unknown. It was Europeans who found and developed the tremendous natural resources that had lain buried from time immemorial and which provided much of the capital necessary for further development. It was Christian missionaries who translated most of Africa’s almost 900 languages and thus paved the way for education and social development. By bringing the Bible to Africa they introduced the natives to the best way of life on planet earth. They weren’t forcing the “white man’s religion” on the blacks. They were teaching the moral and economic values of the Creator — the values that bear rich dividends. As Winston Churchill said in another context, that “truth is incontrovertible. Ignorance can deride it, panic may resent it, malice may destroy it, but there it is.

SOUTH AFRICA

In 1652, the area around the Cape of Good Hope (Cape Town) was established as a colony by the Dutch East India Company. The newcomers became known as Afrikaners or Boers. By the end of the 1700s, there were approximately15,000 inhabitants in the Cape, besides a smattering of Bushmen. After an unsuccessful attempt to establish an independent republic in 1795, the area was seized by the British. Twenty years later it became a permanent British possession. Anglicanization of government caused 12,000 Afrikaners to move north and later establish the republics of Transvaal and the Orange Free State.

In the early to mid-1880s European nations such as Britain, Germany, France, Belgium, and Portugal created colonies in the sub-Sahara region of Africa. In the late 1800s Cecil Rhodes, a British elitist and Oxford graduate, arrived in South Africa, plotting to totally control the area’s immense natural wealth. In Tragedy and Hope, Dr. Carroll Quigley tells us that Rhodes “feverishly exploited the diamond and gold fields of South Africa ... (and) with financial support from Lord Rothschild he was able to monopolize the gold fields of South Africa.” Rhodes’ grandiose ambitions went much further than that. For him, the sky was the limit! He is famously quoted as having declared: “To think of these stars we see overhead, these vast worlds we cannot reach. I would annex the planets if I could” (Rhodes, by S. Gertude Millin, 1933, p.138). Bible students may notice the similarity between Rhodes’ statement and that made by Lucifer ( Satan) in Isaiah 14:13-14: “I will ascend in heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars [angels, Revelation 1:20] of God ... I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the most high.” Apparently, his wilful ambition knew no limits!

[In that context, it’s interesting to note that —  in his will and through a resultant Trust — Rhodes channeled part of his vast fortune (based on the “feverish exploitation” of Africa’s wealth) into the creation of Rhodes Scholarships at Oxford University. These scholarships were part of a broad plan aimed a the promotion of a movement to create a new world order or one world government. In later years, many Americans — including Bill Clinton — attended Oxford University to be further indoctrinated in the “one world” ideology promoted by the international elite. Round Table groups established by Rhodes later resulted in the establishment of the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London in1919, and the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in New York in 1921. Since the advent of the FDR administration in 1933, most leading government jobs have gone to members of the CFR, otherwise known as “the invisible government.”]

“THE WIND OF CHANGE”

When Cecil Rhodes, as a result of his insatiable lust for power, ended up in trouble in South Africa he moved northeast, where he later founded — with the help of his British South African Company — what became known as Northern and Southern Rhodesia. [These would subsequently became known as Zambia and Zimbabwe].

As time went by, the various European-ruled colonies prospered to various degrees, particularly South Africa and Rhodesia. However, after World War II things began to change as the political and economic policies (or world view) of the major nations began to reveal themselves. Under the unseen influences exerted by the secret societies and international bankers, the policies of the United States in particular changed from being nationalistic in nature to being international in scope. “Nationalism” and “national pride” became terms to be derided. What the world needed, we were assured, was an international partnership of all nations (a truly United Nations) operating for the benefit of all concerned. To the uninitiated, following the five years of blood, sweat, toils and tears of the second world war, it sounded like a neat idea. “Change” and “international cooperation,” we were assured, would lead to a wonderful new world of peace and prosperity. Worldwide, the enticing package was sold under a variety of labels. Multiple millions flocked to worship at the altar of internationalism or one-worldism. Those clear-minded individuals who recognized the inherent, historic dangers in this move toward “globalization” were ridiculed. They were condemned as being archaic relics of a bygone age — people to be more pitied than laughed out.

HAROLD MACMILLAN

For many, the late-1940s and 1950s were good years. Most Americans  prospered as never before. Europe and Asia recovered to a remarkable degree from the ravages of World War II. In many parts of the world prospects for the future never looked brighter. From Africa — under international pressure promoted primarily by Britain and America —  cries of “Uhuru, Uhuru” (Freedom, Freedom) began to be heard. Western leaders began to call for the creation of new nations governed by the natives on the Dark Continent. The concept, though alien to Africans who are by nature tribal in orientation, was heavily promoted in the UN and international media. Although on the surface the high-sounding slogans appeared to promote an admirable objective its international promoters had a much more Machiavellian goal in mind. As subsequent years have clearly shown, most of the soon-to-become “new nations” were ill-prepared for self-rule.

Then came the fateful 1960s — a decade of incredible change, not only in Africa and around the world but particularly in the United States. The world would never be the same again.

On a tour of British Commonwealth nations early in 1960, British Prime Minister Harold Macmillan, who was later revealed to have close ties with the Kremlin, gave his famous “Wind of Change” speech in Cape Town, South Africa. Early in his address, Macmillan was extravagant in his praise of the progress made by the white-ruled nation: “No one would fail to be impressed with the immense material progress which has been achieved. That all this has been achieved in such a short time is a striking testimony to the skill, energy and initiative of your people.” But things had to change!

Toward the end of his speech, Macmillan declared that, “the wind of change is blowing across this continent. Whether we like it or not, the growth of national consciousness is a political fact.” The political reality was that the global elite had decreed that the whites be forced to ultimately surrender all they had developed and built — and hand everything over to the blacks. Though abundantly obvious, there was little talk about the need to adequately train and prepare the native blacks for the awesome responsibility of administering the affairs of the numerous new nations slated to emerge as self-governing states. The fact that most of Africa was in the very slow process of emerging from a very primitive existence was conveniently ignored.

That sad lack of adequate preparation was soon to manifest itself in no uncertain terms. From the beginning, most of the new “nations” began to falter. Without proper management, most of the new nations steadily disintegrated, and fell into the hands of ruthless dictators. At least one of these mass murders, Idi Amin of Uganda, reverted to cannibalism. He was known to have eaten some of his enemies. Not exactly the “wind of change” many believed would occur!

TWO EXCEPTIONS

The only two nations that didn’t follow suit were South Africa and Rhodesia. The former, under an apartheid system, continued on for another four decades before being forced, by boycotts and international sanctions, to hand over control of the government to Nelson Mandela who had previously spent 27 years in prison for terrorist activities. In 1965, Rhodesia —  under the leadership of Ian Smith, and recognizing that the native blacks weren’t qualified at that time to rule a modern nation — declared its independence from Britain. Rhodesia was immediately subjected to internationally-sponsored economic sanctions. Domestic, internationally-sponsored terrorism led by Robert Mugabe (Zimbabwe National Union, or ZANU), and Joshua Nkomo (of the Zimbabwe African People’s Union, or ZAPU), eventually led to a black takeover under Robert Mugabe, a known communist thug who shortly thereafter established a one-party socialist (communist) state. In the 1990s, Mugabe ordered most white commercial farmers to leave their property without receiving compensation. The land was handed over to squatters who knew nothing about farming.

The results were predictable — and totally catastrophic. Zimbabwe (once Rhodesia, “the breadbasket of Africa”) has returned to the law of the jungle. Rampaging hordes are destroying everything that remains of white-inspired civilization. Millions are starving. Inflation is so high it’s incalculable. As one on-the-spot observer e-mailed a friend who is a Midnight Messenger subscriber, “it's genocide in the making. If you do not believe me, read the Genocide Report by Amnesty International. It says we are in level 7  (level 8 is after it has happened, and everyone is in denial).”

South Africa (which gained its “freedom” from white rule in 1994) enjoyed the benefits of a well-organized society for a few years following its “liberation.” But now everything is disintegrating. A slumping economy, rampant crime, power shortages, the highest number of HIV-positive people in the world (6,500,000 in 2006), and a collapsing infrastructure are among the nation’s many growing woes resulting from “the wind of change” mandated by the globalists. Will South Africa go the way of Zimbabwe? Only time will tell.

MULTIPLE MILLIONS

SLAUGHTERED

Since “freedom” or “liberation” came to the Dark Continent multiple millions of blacks have been slaughtered by their native rulers. Genocide has occurred in nation after nation. And hundreds of billions of dollars in alleged “aid” from Western nations have been squandered to no avail. The situation throughout all of Africa continues to slide toward oblivion.

But not to worry! The globalist elite didn’t make a “mistake” when they forced white colonists out of Africa. Hard evidence points toward the fact that the “wind of change” declaration was part of a Machiavellian machination to force independent, entrepreneurial whites out of Africa, and thus clear the way for a takeover by the internationalists and their multinational corporate friends. The plan was to eliminate competition, and exploit Africans to the fullest. Evidence shows that numerous multinational corporations, including the big oil companies have, from the beginning, organized and financed various rebel groups in order to maintain their grip on the resources of the various nations. As explained by John Perkins in Confessions of an Economic Hit man, after “freedom” and “independence,” the internationalists sent in economic hit men to convince the new, politically naive “leaders” to accept huge “development” loans and thus incur enormous debts they had no hope of repaying. This made them virtual slaves to the lenders and made them acquiesce to the dictatorial demands of the international bankers and their predatory allies. This crippled any efforts to develop in true independence. “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant of the lender” (Proverbs 22:7).

We must recognize that this is all part of yet another “urban renewal”-type program to steal the wealth of the world from the control of its rightful, God-given owners — and place it exclusively in the hands of those who plan to enslave us in a Luciferian new world order.

”WIND OF CHANGE”

GOES GLOBAL

The “wind of change” speech given by Harold Macmillan in 1960 appears to have been one of the opening salvos signaling the beginning of a all-out global war against the sovereignty of nations. Independent states were all targeted. They would have to be leveled and the rubble cleared out of the way in order to implement a previously-devised Illuminati plan to create a new world order, or global concentration camp.

Prior to the 1960s, plans had been lain and international “change agents” trained to execute the plan. In the years that followed the traditional values of each nation would be attacked relentlessly, broken down, and replaced by “new climates of opinion.” These new views were to be molded, shaped, and enforced by a tightly-controlled, non-stop propaganda (brainwashing) blitz deliberately emanating from every point of the compass. Having lived in four different English-speaking nations since the 1960s, this writer can testify that the methods used in each are virtually identical. There is obviously a global “master plan” that, with a few slight modifications, is being implemented around the globe.

“WIND OF CHANGE”

IN AMERICA

Since the 1960s the United States has been the target of ruthless, multi-pronged attacks by globalist forces. Our once great biblically-based Republic — built on a rocklike foundation of absolute laws and principles that alone have stood the test of time without faltering — has been systematically vandalized, dragged off its foundation, gutted, and made into a pathetic, all but unrecognizable image of its former self.

First, the American dollar, originally based solidly on biblical values (gold and silver, Constitution: Article 1, Section 10) had to be destroyed. A few months after President John F. Kennedy (Executive Order 11110, 4 June, 1963) attempted to secure the safety and redeemability of the dollar, he was murdered in Dallas. A few weeks later, Lyndon Johnson, (whose mistress Madeleine Duncan Brown testified that Johnson, FBI Director Edgar J. Hoover, H.L. Hunt and Richard Nixon were all involved in the assassination plot) reversed Kennedy’s decision and removed the dollar from its Constitutional base. This opened up the way for the deficit financing of Johnson’s socialistic “Great Society,” and massive inflation. It also set the groundwork for the federal government’s present seventy three Trillion dollar ($73,000,000, 000, 000) unfunded, long-term obligations. The wind of change was beginning to intensify!

♦ Johnson also reversed Kennedy’s plan to withdraw 16,000 American “advisors” from South Vietnam. Under cover of the blatantly bogus “Gulf of Tonkin incident,” Johnson greatly escalated American involvement. By 1966 there were 543,000 American troops on the ground in Vietnam. 58,000 died in action. 350,000 more were wounded. This “wind of change” divided American society into warring camps and tore society apart. A true revolution was under way!

♦ The mid-1960's witnessed a new immigration policy sponsored by Senator Ted Kennedy. Despite glowing promises issued by Kennedy, it was yet another manifestation of the “wind of change” sweeping across America. It also set the stage for the later massive influx of illegal aliens,  the destruction of America’s famed industrial base, and the exporting of multiple millions of manufacturing jobs.

♦ In the 1960s America witnessed yet another massive “wind of change” in the form of race riots. Riots ravaged such cities as Newark, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Detroit and Los Angeles. These were far from “spontaneous”events. Louis Lomax, a well-known black author, reported that the Detroit riots erupted because “an organized group, largely from outside the Detroit area, had been operating in the city for more than a month... This group had an assignment: burn and destroy.” Lomax went on to say that “these professional agitators zeroed in on the innocent and uninformed that every such revolution needs... Methodically breaking store windows, the revolutionaries urged the milling Negro people to loot and steal... The professionals did no looting of their own. They were no thieves. They were men at war, revolutionaries bent on reducing the nation to ashes...” When Dr. James Boyce, a black professor at Wayne University, asked a policeman why the police didn’t stop the riots he was told, ‘We followed orders.’“ A perfect example of a highly organized, politically-motivated “wind of change” in action!

♦ The 1960s also witnessed the massive escalation of federal aid for schools or what is euphemistically called “education.” As always, with the shekels came the shackles. The federal government, assuming the role of “god,” mandated the curriculum in these new indoctrination centers. New textbooks were introduced. These gradually phased out all reference to a Creator, Lawgiving, law-enforcing  God whose decrees are immutable (“unchangeable; invariable; unalterable, not capable of change,” Webster). In their stead were phased in concepts which increasingly exalted the State as the source of everything good and desirable. By federal decree, the State replaced God as the entity that provided for all its obedient servants from the cradle to the grave. Within a decade, this blatant attack on traditional Americanism turned society upside down. The Republic’s original governmental structure — based on “absolutes” — was thus destroyed. Maybe scripture reveals the true answer: “Even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge [educational system], God gave them over to a reprobate mind” (Romans 1:28).

Webster defines the word reprobate: “Not enduring proof or trial; not of standard purity or fineness ... abandoned in sin; lost to virtue of grace.” America is now suffering the results!

♦ Unrecognized by all but a very few, America has been transformed from a biblically-based Republic (the laws of which emanated from biblical absolutes) into a secular Democracy in which people (or, more correctly, the behind-the-scenes manipulators of the people) dictate the laws that govern society. These invariably place increasing amounts of power and control in the hands of Big Brother Government at the expense of the individual citizen.

♦ The mid-1960s also saw the publication of Report From Iron Mountain. This was the result of a government-sponsored study on how best to control people as the population was being herded toward the creation of a one world government. One proposal was to create a series of “crises” that could be used for this purpose. The environment was mentioned in this context. The Report specifically stated that the idea of “gross pollution of the environment” could be made to eventually “replace the possibility of mass destruction by nuclear weapons as the principal apparent threat to the survival of the species ... even if such a threat will have  to be invented...

Voila ... the environmental movement was born. As a result, thousands of new rules and regulations were shackled on the backs of Americans. This federally-mandated “wind of change” increasingly limited the freedoms enjoyed by Americans, and automatically increased the size and power of government.

♦ Also in the mid-1960s, massive amounts of oil were discovered in Alaska. America was now energy independent. In 1967, when a pipeline was first planned from Prudhoe Bay to the port of Valdez, 800 miles to the south, the estimated cost was $600 million. When artificially-inflated environmental concerns and bureaucratic red-tape were overcome and construction begun (1973), the estimated cost had skyrocketed more than 300 percent to $2,000, 000,000.

The construction phase of the pipeline was a nightmare. Swarms of arrogant and abrasive bureaucrats and smug, overly zealous environmentalists — backed by the power of the federal government — invaded Alaska and did everything in their power to undermine the project and raise costs. They were immensely successful. When the pipeline was completed in 1976 the cost had skyrocketed to a dumbfounding $12,000,000,000 — 20 times the original estimate. “We’re from the government. We’re here to help you!!!

NO ADDITIONAL PIPELINES

In addition, the government forbad the construction of a much-needed second oil pipeline and an additional natural gas pipeline. Our political leaders thus deprived our nation of a super-abundant and inexpensive source of energy, and thus created conditions that led to our present phony “energy crisis.” Due to the fact that the federal government has forbidden the construction of a natural gas pipeline, some 190,000,000 cubic feet of natural gas has to be pumped back into the ground each day at great expense. The “energy crisis” (and $4 gas) has been created and is sustained by political criminals who pose as our national leaders and hypocritically pontificate about their great concern for the American people.

We are personally assured by men high up in the oil industry that two completely new oilfields — greater in size than the one at Prudhoe Bay — have been found and proven in Alaska. They have been sealed, and placed off-limits. Official Washington has forbidden public acknowledgment of this fact, thus exacerbating a “crisis” which they themselves created. The federal government is directly responsible for the fact that gas has skyrocketed from 30 cents a gallon in the 1960s to $4 in 2008.

We are assured by unimpeachable oil industry sources that oil is readily available within the United States for less than $25 a barrel. However, by federal government decree we are now being forced to pay our Islamic enemies in Saudi Arabia $125 a barrel. Who can doubt that this is yet another diabolical reflection of the “wind of change” set in motion nearly fifty years ago by our hidden masters —  and implemented by the political leaders our dumbed-down populace have been deceived into electing?

These numerous “winds of change” have been steadily and systematically pushing our nation toward ultimate destruction and slavery — yet none dare call it conspiracy! None dare call it treason!

SPIRITUAL BATTLE

Clearly, America is under attack from every point of the compass. To attribute that onslaught to purely political motives would be naive and shortsighted. The true source of that assault is spiritual or Satanic in nature. What we are witnessing is a last desperate attempt to implement a Satanic plan that has been in effect since the time of ancient Babylon (Genesis 9 and 10) — a plan to create a world government and eliminate the Creator from the equation.

We are told in II Corinthians 4:4 that Satan is “the god of this world who has blinded the eyes of those that see not,” and in Revelation 12:9 that Satan is the one who” deceives the whole world.” In our earthly battle, “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness [or, wicked spirits] in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). Being human, we need supernatural help. We need to put on “the whole armor of God, [so that we] may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness... Above all, taking on the shield of faith, wherewith we shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God” (vs. 14-17). We need to be sanctified through that truth (John 17:17). We also need to redeem the time (Ephesians 5:16), lest our efforts be in vain.

Ultimately, Satan’s battle is against the Creator. Scripture indicates that Satan will organize world leaders to fight one last battle against the Creator: “Why do the heathen [nations] rage and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together [United Nations?] against the Lord and against his anointed [Christ, Luke 4:8] saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh, and the Lord shall have them in derision, and vex them in his sore displeasure” (Psalm 1:1-5). Led by Satan, world leaders “shall make war with the Lamb [Christ, John 1:36] and the Lamb shall overcome them for he is the Lord of lords, and King of kings, and they that are with him are called, chosen, and faithful” (v.14).

When that day comes, there will be a  real, divinely-inspired WIND OF CHANGE. Satan and his minions will be cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10).

God’s judgment will soon be poured out on this Satanically-inspired Babylonian system. What is the Sovereign God’s command to believers right now? “Come out of her, MY people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues” (Revelation 18:4).

“Let God be true, and every man a liar” (Romans 3:4)
