On February 13, 1983, Gordon Kahl, an alleged "tax protestor" and minor parole violator, his family and a few friends, were ambushed by a swarm of police just outside Medina, ND. In a police-activated shootout, a marshal was killed and Kahl's son was badly wounded. Kahl escaped.

Almost four months later, the FBI and state police caught up with Gordon Kahl in Arkansas. He was then killed in cold blood. His body was mutilated and the house in which he was staying was soaked with fuel and burned to the ground.

Since that time there has been a massive cover-up by the police and judicial authorities. Several people who have attempted to uncover and publish the truth in the Gordon Kahl case have been murdered or subjected to various forms of terror.
