This month Karen and I celebrated our fortieth wedding anniversary. We held a celebration party at our son's home in Vancouver, Washington. Some 30 family members and friends from far and wide gathered for the occasion.
In 1967 Karen and I met while we were both working for a Los Angeles area publisher. I had just moved from Toronto, Canada. On our first date we went on a trip to San Diego Zoo. On the return journey we stopped off at Knott's Berry Farm, an amusement park south of Los Angeles, for dinner. Two months later we decided to get married. We have since been blessed with two children (a boy and a girl) and seven grandchildren (three boys and four girls). We all live within 50 miles of each other.
Shortly after marrying, Karen and I began to do the basic research for what later became my first book, Fourth Reich of the Rich (formerly titled The Missing Dimension in World Affairs). The idea of writing a book developed or sprang from major questions that had been planted in my mind more than ten years earlier. Living in England in 1956 during the time of the Hungarian Uprising against communist rule and the Suez Crisis (covered in my June letter), I was unable to reconcile reports of what happened in these two situations and the responses of the various governments involved. They just didn't gel.
Then, in 1968, while randomly browsing through various books at the local Salvation Army bookstore, I discovered a book (Fabians Fight Freedom, by H.L. Hunt, 1964) that gave me my first real clue as to what was (and still is) happening on the worldwide political stage. In his book, Hunt revealed that from at least the time of ancient Greece there have been political elites ("oligarches" or what Plato called "philosopher-kings") who consider it their right to dictate to everyone else how they should think, what they should believe, and how they should live. "By whatever name called, their supreme objective was power and the seizure of the fruits of freedom which the producing and trading individuals had won." They were the first "collectivists" (p.2). Their Spartan type of government, "with its total destruction of every vestige of individual liberty, its absolute statism, its elimination of the family, and its dehumanization of man, showed the true face of collectivism" (p. 4). "Communists and socialists work toward the same end, a socialist world" (p.5).
That newfound knowledge began a slow but steady investigation into the reasons behind the conditions we saw unfolding in the United States - a progressive movement away from the principles upon which America was founded, and an ever-increasing drive toward collectivism, with its destruction of individual liberty, its absolute statism, its elimination of the family, and its dehumanization of man, that showed the true face of collectivism. Communists and socialists work toward the same end, a socialist world. We became aware of the fact that the United States was being systematically and methodically transformed into a socialist/communist state. [Remember, Communist Russia was known as the "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics."]. Although Hunt's book was invaluable in many respects, the author, for one reason another, never quite got around to "pinning the tail on the donkey." He failed to name those primarily responsible for implementing this same collectivist agenda in the United States - and turning our nation into a police state. He named only agents or fronts being used by the big names.
As we continued to check out various sources of information and dig deeper into history, the truth steadily emerged in undeniable form. An important "breakthrough" came in 1974 when we finally discovered the existence of the Illuminati, the most secret of the secret societies. The Illuminati (the Order of the Illuminated Ones, created by Dr. Adam Weishaupt 200 hundred earlier) had devised a plot to eventually destroy all sovereign nations and then create a one world government - or a new world order. The Illuminati (the existence of which was publicly exposed ten years after its creation in Bavaria in 1776) has since then operated under a variety of names - Palladian Rite of freemasonry, Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO), Communism, socialism, liberalism, etc. The ultimate aim is always the same, a one world government.
This was the vital clue we needed. We finally had a clear, understandable explanation as to why the same socialist, collectivist programs were being strenuously promoted in virtually all the leading nations of the world. They were all scheduled for destruction - and eventual absorption into a totalitarian one world government.
THE MISSING DIMENSION IN WORLD AFFAIRS
 While attending a "pot luck" dinner at a friend's home in North Hollywood one weekend with maybe 20 others, the stimulating conversation ranged over a wide variety of topics
~ politics, finances, religion, history, education, etc. We shared our new found knowledge with the group. As we were leaving for home 4-5 hours later, our host asked if all this information had ever been condensed and "put between two covers?" I told him that, to the best of my knowledge, the answer was, no. For better or worse, I volunteered for the job. After working for another fifteen months on what was originally labeled "the Conspiracy File," the book was finally completed. With the help of a small group of friends, it was finally published in July 1976 under the title The Missing Dimension in World Affairs. The second edition, published in 1978, was renamed, Fourth Reich of the Rich.
Initially, the book was greeted with much skepticism. The information "couldn't possibly be true." How could it be? Isn't America the land of the free and home of the brave? It could never happen here. Others just shook their heads, as if we were "nuts." One magazine in California accusing us of being "pornographers of paranoia." Yes, as Henry Ford, the great auto engineer, declared: "The truth frequently seems unreasonable, the truth frequently is depressing; the truth sometimes seems to be evil. But it has the eternal advantage, it is the truth, and what is built thereon neither brings nor yields to confusion." We are pleased to say that none of the basic documentation in Fourth Reich has had to be changed in more than 31 years. It has stood the test of time.
For example, in the first edition we named the Rockefeller family as being among the hidden leaders of the secret Illuminati/International banker cabal working against the best interests of the United States and planning the creation of a global concentration camp for the slaves of the new world order. To raaay early readers, that statement undoubtedly seemed "off the wall, and ridiculous nonsense" After all, the Rockefellers are recognized as being the very epitome of the American success story. As the leading American family, they're living the American Dream and are "obviously" very patriotic "America firsters." Right? What appears "obvious" ain't necessarily so!
The simple fact of the matter is that, for more than a century, the United States has been ruled by what former New York mayor, John Hylan, called an "invisible government" (or secret cabal). "The real menace to our Republic," declared Mayor Hylan 85 years ago, "is this invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls over city, state, and nation. Like the octopus of real life, it operates under cover of a self-created screen. It seizes in its long and powerful tentacles our executive officers, our legislative bodies, our schools, our courts, our newspapers, and every
agency created for the public protection. It squirms in the jaws of darkness and is thus able to clutch the reins of government, secure enactment of the legislation favorable to corrupt business, violate the law with impunity, smother the press and reach into the courts... At the head of this octopus are the Rockefeller-Standard Oil interests and a small groups of banking houses generally referred to as the international bankers. The little coterie of international bankers virtually run the United States government for its own selfish purposes... They connive at centralization of government on the theory that a small group of hand-picked, privately controlled individuals in power can be more easily handled than a large group among whom there will most likely be men sincerely in public welfare..." (New York Times, March 27, 1922).
It is virtually impossible to find any real criticism of the Rockefeller and their ilk in any of the establishment mass media (They and their friends own or control it!) When mentioned occasionally, they are always referred to in a favorable light. We have been unable to find any substantive criticism of "America's first family" in any "nationally recognized" newspaper or magazine. As Woodrow Wilson, then governor of New Jersey, stated in his 1913 book, The New Freedom: "Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, of something. They know that there is a power somewhere, so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so persuasive, that they better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it" (The New Freedom, pgs. 13-14. Doubleday).
ADMISSIONS AND CONFESSIONS
 Stop and think: Is the famous Rockefeller family part of this "invisible government" (or Illuminati) that is striving to destroy and "collectivize" America in preparation for merging us into a new world order? To most people this idea would sound so ridiculous as to be dismissed out of hand. Right? Stop, and read what David Rockefeller wrote in his 2002 autobiography: "Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and with conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty and am proud of it" (Memoirs, 2002, p.405). Seeing is believing! He's "guilty and ... proud of it."
Of course, to long-time Rockefeller watchers his "guilty" plea came as no surprise. Since the beginning of the last century the Rockefellers have striven to undermine American sovereignty. They created the socialistic "progressive education" movement, and financed teacher training colleges across the nation to revolutionize the American education system. For nearly 100 years these colleges have produced change agents whose job it is to manage taxpayer-financed schools and colleges. For what purpose? To (in their own words) ultimately produce "people [who would] yield themselves with perfect docility into our molding hands" so that, "unhampered by tradition, we [could] work our own good will upon a grateful and responsive rural folk" (Occasional Letter #1, General Education Board, 1904).
TWO WORLD VIEWS
What we clearly see at work here are two totally different world views. Essentially, they need to be defined in biblical or spiritual terms: One is God's form of government - one in which society is governed by laws and principles based on the Ten Commandments. God's law is recognized as being supreme and the final arbiter in all matters. This makes the individual self-governing and personally responsible for his actions. Early on, schools and colleges trained their students in the knowledge and applications of these basic principles for a sound society - and that is what they produced. National, state, and local government were run by public servants. Their role was just that: to serve the public according to the Constitution and the "laws made in pursuance thereof." America prospered accordingly, and became the envy of the world.
The "competing" form of government may be referred to as the Babylonian system. This sprang from the dictatorial government established by Nimrod and his diabolical wife, Semiramis, on the plains of Shinar following the Noachian Flood. Historian Alexander Hislop in his Two Babylons tells us that "the amazing extent of the worship of this man indicates something very extraordinary in his character... Though by setting up as king Nimrod ... was held by many to have conferred benefits upon them that amply indemnified them for the loss of their liberties, and covered him with glory and renown... But not content with delivering men from the fear of the wild beasts, he set to work also to emancipate them from the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom. For this very thing he seems to have gained ... the title of 'Emancipator' or 'Deliverer'" (pgs.50-51). "The apostasy of Nimrod led men away from the patriarchal faith, and delivering their minds from the awe of God and fear of the judgments which must have rested upon them while yet the memory of the Flood was recent. According to all the principles of depraved human nature, this too, no doubt, was one grand element in his fame; for men will readily rally around anyone who can give the least appearance of plausibility to any doctrine that will teach them that they can be assured of happiness ... though their hearts and natures by unchanged, and
though they live without God in the world ... By separating them from the holy influences that had previously more or less controlled them, he helped them put God ... at a distance ... (Nimrod) led mankind to believe that a real spiritual change in heart was unnecessary, and that as far as change was needed, they could be regenerated by mere external means... (He) led mankind to seek their chief good in sensual enjoyment, and showed them how they might enjoy the pleasures of sin, without any fear of a holy God... And with everything that could please the human heart, he commended himself to the good graces of mankind" (pgs.52-55).
Under the inspiration of Satan, the "god of this world" and the one who had blinded and deceived the whole world (II Corinthians 4:4 and Revelation 12:9), this collectivist, "man . shall be as god".system has dominated the governments of the world ever since. The personnel may change, but the system keeps relentlessly on. Without too much difficulty, the reader will see the same diabolical philosophy being universally promoted today - all in the name of "national security." Over the centuries this Babylonian system has ruled supreme worldwide.
Nimrod was the first "collectivist." Although his plan to be the first to create a one world government was thwarted by the Creator at the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1 -9), the hope of such a totalitarian system has survived throughout the centuries. The Illuminati, or the "secret cabal" admitted to by David Rockefeller, is merely the modern manifestation of this age-old program. It is in fact the true Christ-denying, God-defying "Utopia" dreamed of by the Luciferian globalists. For the vast majority it would be hell on earth - a dark, miserable world of mindless conformity.
In their lust to create a world in the image of their own demented dreams, the modern oligarches and would-be philosopher-kings have fallen into a deadly trap. They have fallen for the greatest lie ever told - Satan's promise to man that he would become "as god" if he rejected the Creator God and sided with Lucifer, aka Satan (Genesis 3:5). The same "wonderful" promise was made to Jesus in the early days of his ministry. Satan promised him "all the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them ... if you will fall down and worship me" (Matthew 4:8-9). Jesus flatly refused the offer: "Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and him only shalt thou serve" (v.10). But in their lust for power, many would-be oligarches and philosopher-kings have wholeheartedly embraced basically the same promise. The simple truth is that Satan, the "god" of this world has deceived the whole world (Revelation 12:9) - and mankind is in the process of paying a terrible price. [Nimrod formulated Illuminati doctrine.]
SPIRITUAL BATTLE
Though unrecognized by most, we are engaged in a massive spiritual battle. It's being fought in a jungle environment. Most people are spiritually blind and deaf. They are staggering aimlessly through that jungle without any real knowledge or understanding of the surroundings in which they find themselves. These perilous days call for a revolution in our hearts and minds. We need to experience a mental and spiritual revolution in which the "eyes of our [spiritual] understanding are opened" so we can see and understand what's happening. As we are not wrestling against flesh and flesh, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness [or wicked spirits] in high places, we need to take on the whole armour of God that we may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:12-13).
In this deadly environment we need to develop spiritual "jungle eyes" to survive. This can only come through the Lord Jesus Christ, the one who is "the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6)
It is this truth that makes us free (John 8:32). Without this spiritual foundation our lives, like the bridge that recently collapsed in Minneapolis, will be found to be "structurally deficient."
