 Dear Friends:
A belated “Happy New Year” to all our readers. We trust that ya’ll managed to make it into another challenging year relatively unscathed and ready to do battle with the propagators of lies and deception with which our present society is plagued. More perhaps than in any of the other 95 nations of the world, our once proud “land of the free and home of the brave” has fallen into a national state of corruption and denial. As was true with the ancient Hebrews of Old Testament times, there may now be “no remedy” for our resultant social, financial and spiritual afflictions.
Clearly, the vast majority of America’s religious leaders and most of the population are in open rebellion against their Creator. To paraphrase scripture, they have “transgressed very much after the abominations of the heathen” [adjoining nations from which their forebears had escaped in order to find personal freedom and economic opportunities] and have polluted the biblical principles upon which the American Republic was originally based.
As was also historically true of ancient Israel, God has in recent decades raised up in America numerous “messengers” to warn America of the folly of its ways since breaking loose from its biblical foundations. Many of those individuals may not necessarily have been in the truest sense “men of God.” Some did, however, recognize many of the basic laws and principles that, historically, served to build nations that endured and stood the test of time before fading into oblivion. They did, to various degrees, attempt to remind the American people of the biblically-based laws ands principles embraced by our nation’s founders. The application of these laws and principles were, in a remarkably short time, instrumental in making the United States the greatest, freest, and wealthiest nation in history.
VOLUNTARY SERVITUDE
Unfortunately, their efforts were not supported by a multitude of preachers who professed to be “men of God.” Many thousands of such individuals “talked the talk” but refused to “walk the walk.” In the 1960s these rebels were greatly encouraged in their folly when the humanistically-motivated Johnson administration offered religious organizations the “privilege” of applying for tax exempt status. This would, supposedly, enable them to operate as religious “corporations” without being subject to many of the tax obligations incurred by secular corporations. But, unrecognized by most, there was a horrendous price to pay. Accepting this “privilege” offered by the State “god,” would ultimately result in their having to surrender many of their religious and spiritual freedoms. Although they were supposedly “men of God,” they thus unwittingly renounced their divinely-imposed obligation to, Cry aloud and spare not. Lift up your voice like a trumpet, and show God’s people their transgressions ... and their sins (Isaiah 58:1).
By voluntarily applying for this State-granted privilege, and by becoming incorporated (voluntarily becoming creations of the State), they — of their own free will — lost their constitutionally-guaranteed Right to “freedom of speech.” They are thus restrained, regardless of what the true Creator God says in his word, from criticizing their new creator — the State — and condemning its sins. If they rebel against this unGodly restriction, they can — as a result of their “sin” against their creator (the State) — lose their privileged tax exemption. Such “rebellion” can be interpreted by their creator as “the unpardonable sin.” They toe the line, or else! Remember, the creature (or created) is always subject to and under control of its creator!
As a result of this voluntarily-applied for and state-granted “privilege,” untold tens of thousands of pastors and evangelists across the nation are unwilling to make a biblically-based stand against ever-increasing encroachments by the humanistic State “god” in the everyday affairs of American churches. In biblical terms, they feel constrained to feed their respective “flocks” a bland, uninviting, watered-down, concoction of misunderstood and out of context Bible passages, supplemented by vain, ultimately meaningless human psychology. Is it any wonder that most of their congregants find themselves mostly defenseless when faced with the very real problems of the very real world. Untold millions of these spiritual sheep, dying of spiritual malnutrition and feeling helpless in a bitterly hostile world, are turning off and dropping out in droves. Many are getting “slaughtered.”
Many of the “pew warmers” who remain, being deprived of true spiritual “meat” and recognizing the futility of the situation in which they find themselves, often resign themselves to being members of mere religious social clubs where nothing is ever accomplished. Others, not seeking sound doctrine but having “itching ears,” heap to themselves false teachers in the vain hope of finding that elusive “something” to fill their spiritual emptiness (II Timothy 4:3-4). Such people, who frequently want little more than to have their egos stroked and their guilty consciences appeased, succumb to the maneuvers and manipulations of wolves in shepherd’s clothing who serenade them with “smooth things,” and thus lead them into yet other forms of bondage (Isaiah 30:10). One has only to tune in [very briefly, please!] to the various “religion” channels that litter TV menus from coast to coast, to see such charlatans and con artists (male and female) plying their deceitful trade. As the late Oral Roberts said to a friend of this writer some years ago, “You know, there’s good money in this.” How true!
“A JEALOUS GOD”
America’s recently installed State “god” is becoming an increasingly “jealous god” — an entity that can’t abide opposition from any one, or any other entity. This includes the true, Creator God. These preachers have a massive conflict of interest. For a variety of reasons, some of which are not easily determined, they have chosen to accept the “lordship” of the State “god” as opposed to that of the true Creator God. They seem oblivious to the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ — the One they claim to be their Redeemer, Savior and Lord — was tempted in a somewhat similar manner when offered all the “goodies” the world had to offer. He answered that temptation in no uncertain terms: “Get thee hence, Satan; for it is written: thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve” (Matthew 4:10). Question: Is not the entity who “calls the shots” also the entity they ultimately serve? Think about it!
We would all be well advised to acknowledge the fact that it is Creator God who is the true “jealous God” — the One who visits the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generations of those that hate him (Exodus 20:4-5). Look around you at America today! Does it not look as if — as a result of our nation’s political and religious leaders having “hated” or forsaken the true God — America is now being “visited” as a result of its iniquities? “Iniquities” is defined by Webster as “injustice, unrighteousness, deviation from rectitude.” God’s word backs this up: “Your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear” (Isaiah 59:2). Can we fail to see that in America “judgment is turned away backward, and justice stands afar off: for truth is fallen in the streets, and equity cannot enter. Yes, truth fails; and he that departs from evil makes himself a prey” (v.14).
Regrettably, most people are swayed much more by rhetoric and “feelings” than by reality — by endless mantras rather than cold, hard facts. They seem so intent on “doing their own thing” and following the path of least resistance that they have no time to pay attention to all the warnings with which they are surrounded. In today’s America, rhetoric almost always wins out over reality. But that type of insanity is strictly short term. Eventually we will have to pay the piper. “Be not deceived; God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap” (Galatians 6:7).
A DECEIVED WORLD
We are living in a deceived world, one that thrives on illusions. One in which glorious truths are frequently portrayed as signs of insanity. Where programs of gross deception are regularly sugar-coated to falsely appear as magnificent manifestations of truth — things that will result in the creation of a utopian world society. These deceptive programs can and frequently do appear in religious, political, and economic garb. As they are collectively based on diabolically false premises that have been around since before the Tower of Babel, they are all erroneous. One example is, as we show in Storming The Gates of Hell, the false “gospel” portrayed in the footnotes of the Scofield “bible.” It has been used effectively by the enemies of God to neutralize the present day effectiveness of biblical Christianity. What used to be known on the Christian scene as “the church militant” and “church triumphant” has been systematically reduced to a sad, anemic skeleton of what existed three or four hundred years ago (Revelation 12:9).
On the political front, that transformation began to significantly impact American society in the early 1900s when the rancid seeds of humanism/socialism/communism were imported from Europe and planted in the American body politic — and, later, in the American educational system. These promoted the idea that the American form of government (a Constitutional Republic, based on immutable, never-changing standards, individual freedom, free enterprise, and personal responsibility) was destructively narrow minded and had to be replaced if true world peace were to be achieved. The supposed “answer” was collectivism, statism, socialism, fascism, or ultimately communism — all of which were and still are, to varying degree, the same.
Starting with the Woodrow Wilson administration (1914-1922) America’s constitutional Republic has (with a brief respite from 1923-1934) been systematically destroyed. Statism was further imposed on America by FDR’s “New Deal” under the guise of supposedly solving the banker-created 1929 Wall Street crash and the resultant Great Depression. It finally exploded under Lyndon Johnson and his phony Great Society and welfare state. Over the last five decades America has been ransacked psychologically, politically, spiritually and economically. Untold millions of well-paying jobs have been shipped overseas, multiple trillions of dollars of unpayable debt have been heaped on the shoulders of the mesmerized millions — and the encroachment of the State “god” and its steamroller of destruction keeps rolling relentlessly forward. Under the guise of the phony “war on terror” and “homeland security,” the Constitution has been torn up and people’s rights shredded.
PROMISES, PROMISES — LIES, LIES
Unrelenting lies, hidden agendas, and political corruption are the continue orders of the day in Washington, DC. Although our elected leaders have each sworn oaths to unreservedly defend the Constitution (the Supreme Law of the Land), all but a tiny minority are busily eradicating every trace and influence of that document from American life while, with unprecedented hypocrisy, proclaiming their undying concern for the welfare of “the American people.”
Don’t misunderstand. This isn’t a Democratic phenomenon, or a “republican” problem. It’s a catastrophic systemic political disease the tentacles of which have a stranglehold on every level of government, both State and Federal. As the late Governor George Wallace stated so succinctly, “There’s not a dime’s worth of difference between the two parties.”
“Successful” American politicians never, even when pressured, truly confront and address the various social and economic problems that — like a consuming disease — are inexorably destroying every fiber of our national existence. They treat the mostly dumbed-down, historically-illiterate American public like the pathetic suckers they mostly are. To placate the mindless peasants they speak in mantras [“sacred verbal formulae repeated in prayer ... invocations to a god, magic spells ... containing mystical potentialities”]. These are designed to lock into the mostly undiscerning minds of the public the idea that the politicians concerned are on the side of each individual in their audience — an absolute total impossibility! As Barack Obama, a master of mantras, stated in his book, The Audacity of Hope: “I serve as a blank screen on which people of vastly different political stripes can project their own views.”
In other words THE MESSAGE was: “Listen to my political rhetoric — my vague, undefined promises of ‘change ... change ... change ... transparency ... no more secrecy.’ Then, project on to your blank mental screen what you FEEL I meant by those undefined terms. Then trust me to deliver what you were dumb enough to assume I meant by those terms.” Standard operating procedure for politicians of every hue!
NANCY PELOSI AND BARACK OBAMA
An example may be drawn from the words of Nancy Pelosi when she became Speaker of the House following the Democrats victory in the 2006 mid-term election. Notice the mantra, “the American people ... the American People”: “Tonight is a great victory for the American people. Today, the American people voted for change, and they voted for Democrats to take our country in a new direction, and that is exactly what we intend to do.
“The American people voted for a new direction to restore civility and bipartisanship in Washington, DC. And democrats promise to work together in a bipartisan way for all Americans. The American people voted to restore integrity and honesty in Washington, DC. And the democrats intend to lead the most honest, most open, and most ethical Congress in history. The American people voted for a new direction, for a fairer economy... where all Americans participate in the prosperity of our great country...
“Democrats are ready to lead ... >From sea to shining sea, the American people voted for change. They want us to do things differently ... to build a future worthy of their values and worthy of the aspirations of their children, and worthy of the sacrifices of our men in uniform.
“Today, we have made history. Now, let us have make progress. Thank you all very much.”
Then there was Barack Obama’s famous “seven lies in 107 seconds” campaign speech before becoming president: Backed by two huge American flags, he used mantras as a brainwashing technique: “As president ... when I am president ... as president ... the commitment I make to you as president ... for every American to watch...
“I will make our government open and transparent so that anyone can ensure that our business is the people’s business. Justice Louis Brandeis once said, ‘Sunlight is the greatest disinfectant.’ And as president I am going to make it impossible for congressmen and lobbyists to slip pork barrel corporate welfare projects into laws when no one is looking, because when I am president meetings where laws are written will be more open to the public. No more secrecy. That’s a commitment I make to you as president. No more secrecy.
“And when there is a bill that ends up on my desk, you, the public, will have five days to look at it on line, and find out what’s in it before I sign it, so that you know what your government is doing.
“When there are meetings between lobbyists and a government agency, we will put as many of those meetings as possible on line for every American to watch. When there is a tax bill being debated in Congress, you will know the names of the corporations that would benefit, and how much money they would get. And we will put every corporate tax break and every pork barrel project on line for every American to see. You will know who to ask for them, and you can decide whether your representative is actually representing you...”
For almost 80 years, America has been subjected to what we have termed an “urban renewal program.” Under it, all the foundational pillars of the former Republic have been systematically undermined and then destroyed. This is somewhat analogous to similar-type programs carried out on Germany and Japan during World War II (See Descent Into Slavery?, pages 143-243). As documented, these demolition jobs were to prepare the world for the creation of a new world order, or one world government.
From the unprecedented state of prestige, freedom and prosperity our nation enjoyed in 1950, America has been systematically maneuvered — socially and economically — into a position of moral decadence and financial despair. From having been the world’s largest creditor nation just three decades ago, we have now become the largest debtor nation We now owe more than all other nations combined. In recent years multiple millions have lost their well-paying jobs, their former employers having closed their manufacturing plants and shipped them to communist China, India, or some third world nation. Millions are losing their home to foreclosure and bankruptcy. Cities and States are in desperate financial shape, mired in debt and unpayable “entitlement” obligations.. The national debt is now more than $14 TRILLION ($14,000,000,000,000. Yes, that’s 12 zeros!). The federal government, under the direction of the privately-owned, international banker controlled “Federal” Reserve System, is expanding that national debt at the startling rate of $1,200,000,000,000 a year. Currently, the “share” owed by every American man, woman and child comes to more that $45,000.
Late last year the magnitude of ten trillion dollars was illustrated by an article on the website, CBSmoneywatch.com. “A trillion $10 bills, if they were taped end to end, would wrap around the globe more than 380 times. That amount of money would still not be enough to pay off the U.S. national debt. [As the reader may already know, most of that “money” is created out of nothing (thin air!) by the private bankers, and loaned to the government at interest.]. As Professor Carroll Quigley revealed 45 years ago in Tragedy and Hope, p.324, they plan is to create a “system ... controlled in a feudal fashion ... by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences.”
Financially, the road was cleared for the deliberate creation of this economic catastrophe when, following the assassination of JFK in 1963, the Johnson administration and the Democrat-controlled Congress abandoned the nation’s biblically-based, constitutional money system based on silver and gold (Article 1, Section 10), and went to a fiat money system (credit created out of thin air) to finance their Great Society and Welfare State programs. They thus set in motion what financial expert, C.V. Myers, termed “a steamroller of destruction.” That financial destroyer could not be stopped “because if we concede that the Lord’s laws are natural laws only, then all natural laws would have to be cancelled and reversed” to cure it. To cure it in any other way we would have to defeat all the natural laws that man has known since his birth on this planet” (Conservative Viewpoint, 1980).
As a result of being politically seduced into changing Gods, the United States is under a curse. The welfare state “god” pawned off on us by the oath-breaking rebels in Washington has proven monumentally deceptive. It has bequeathed to the nation an estimated $120,000,000,000,000 in unpayable “entitlements” (Social Security, Medicare, pensions etc. etc). As “sold” to us by the Socialist hucksters, the Great Society promised us a goldmine of unbelievable “goodies.” We have ended up getting the Shaft! That is fulfilment of the “shabby secret” warned about by Alan Greenspan in 1966.
The bottom line is that America embraced a false “savior,” a false “god.” We are now beginning to pay the price for our folly. For those with “eyes to see and ears to hear,” we need to turn to the true Savior, Jesus Christ. He, alone, is “the way, the truth, and the life.” No man comes to God but through him (John 14:6). “Let God be true, but every man a liar” (Romans 3:4) ■
