“In a time of universal deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act,” wrote George Orwell (Eric Arthur Blair, 1903-1950) the famous author of the novel, 1984. As we head toward the end of 2009, it is doubtful if a greater “time of universal deceit” has existed for many hundreds of years. It can also be stated with a high degree of certainty that proclaiming that fact in today’s deceived and largely compromised world is widely believed to be a “revolutionary act.”
This is so true in fact that, especially today, the teller of truth is usually the butt of jokes, smears, snide remarks, and other forms of derision. In a sense, that sad situation is understandable. Having been marinated in falsehoods and misconceptions most of their lives — and having these deceptions reenforced by an daily avalanche of additional falsehoods and misrepresentations — most Americans are left drifting in an ocean of uncontrolled irrelevancies. Both politically, economically, and spiritually, they are constantly being “tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, wherein they lie in wait to deceive” (Ephesians 4:14). With their heads full of fluffy irrelevancies, and apparently lacking the motivation or willingness to seek meaningful answers, multiple millions — their heads spinning like a top out of control — are groping their way, like zombies, through their meaningless existence.
They have never seen the need or, more importantly, ever been taught or educated in the need to do more than just swallow, without question, what has from birth been pumped into their plastic, unsuspecting minds from every point of the compass. For a multitude of reasons, they have never — particularly at home or in school — been taught to think, to reason, to analyze, and to ask serious questions about what they read or hear. They have never been encouraged to define terms, and to reach their own conclusions based on information and evidence gathered from a full range of sources. As a result, unlike the real Americans of yesteryear, the modern generation has had their minds manipulated into thinking that in many important areas up is down, right is wrong, good is bad, and black is white. The wholesale acceptance of such idiocy is proof that, as scripture says, “that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, (has) deceived the whole world” (Revelation 12:9). It should be noted that people who are deceived are not aware of the fact they are deceived. They accept theirdeception as being par for the course, the way things really should be. If they thought otherwise they wouldn’t be deceived, would they?
UNEQUIPPED FOR LIFE’S CHALLENGES
Having thus failed to get a real education, most are unequipped to correctly assess the information with which they are being inundated 24/7 from a multitude of sources. Be assured that your editor is speaking from personal experience. For nearly half his life he lived and suffered from the same afflictions as most of those around him. For the first 35 years of his life he had failed to realize the vital importance of doing those things listed above. At that time he began to awaken to the existence of a whole new world — one that finally made perfect sense when all things were considered. That important learning curve has continued throughout the intervening years.
One of the most elementary lessons learned is that when one starts off with a false premise (a proposition upon which an argument is based or from which a conclusion is reached) they must automatically end up with a false conclusion. That is basic reality 101, yet is almost universally unrecognized. Most assume from childhood that those in authority (parents, teachers, government officials, etc) would never mislead them. Unrecognized, of course, is the fact that these “authorities” may themselves have been misled, be perpetuating myths — or were just plain lying.
As the late President John F. Kennedy said at Yale University, June 11, 1962: “The greatest enemy of the truth is very often not the lie — deliberate, contrived, dishonest — but the myth — persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.” He could possibly have added, “particularly in politics or in history books.”
What we, individually and collectively, need to grasp more than ever before is, from the highest to the lowest levels of society, we are under attack 24/7. Like Pavlov’s famous dog, that was conditioned to salivate at the sound of a bell (which had previously signaled the presence of food) the vast majority have been so successfully indoctrinated that they automatically and unquestioningly respond to certain stimuli designed to control their every move. Most are thus induced into automatically following the “program” that has, over a period of time, been imbedded subliminally in their minds. As H.L. Mencken observed a half century ago, “The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the public alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of which are imaginary.”
In recent decades we have been “menaced” by endless flocks of hobgoblins (energy crisis, global warming, war on terror, environmental pollution, etc.), all mostly “imaginary” but designed to induce the once free American people into systematically surrendering those freedoms in order to allegedly make the nation more “secure.” When viewed objectively, one can see that the end results have been the exact opposite. The United States has never been more insecure than in 2009. But, as Franklin Roosevelt so truthfully observed, “In politics there are no accidents. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.” Those running the country, mostly from behind the scenes, want to destroy everything “American” in preparation for the emergence of a new world order. As Gary Allen wrote nearly 40 years ago, “If we were merely dealing with the law of averages, half the events affecting our nation’s well-being should be good for America. If we were dealing with mere incompetence, our leaders should occasionally make a mistake in our favor. We are not dealing with coincidence or stupidity, but with planning and brilliance” (None Dare Call it Conspiracy, p.8).
For more than a third of a century your editor has been busy exposing the Luciferian forces and their diabolical plans to create a new world order. In chapter 14 our 1980 book, Descent Into Slavery?, we wrote about the “urban renewing” of Britain and the United States. It detailed a plan that called for the total destruction of the political and social infrastructure in both nations through the use of “socialist principles.” All the old time-tested foundations had to be undermined so that both societies would collapse in ruins, thus clearing the way for their absorption in the new world order.
In both countries, the schools and colleges were to be transformed from centers of true learning and education into brain-washing or indoctrination centers. In the 1934 Report On Education — produced by the American Historical Association and sponsored by the Carnegie Foundation — the Roosevelt-backed mode of “transformation” was laid out: “The age of individualism and laissez faire [freedom] in the economy and government is closing and a new age of collectivism is emerging.”
As one top American “educator” wrote in 1933, “A new mind is to be created. How? Only by creating tens of millions of individual minds and welding them into a new social mind. Old stereotypes must be broken up and new ‘climates of opinion’ formed.... Through the schools we shall disseminate a new conception of government — one that will embrace all the activities of men, and will postulate the need of scientific control and operation of economic activities in the interest of all people” (The Great Technology, pgs.32 and 271). This planned move away from a constitutional/Republican form of government toward a socialist form (which postulated government control of virtually every aspect of life) was euphemistically termed “gradualism.” It’s the belief in a policy of advancing toward that goal by gradual, often slow stages — or incrementally.
The takeover of the American and British education systems, and the subsequent subversion of both societies is in perfect harmony with a plan laid out in the writings of an Italian Marxist, Antonio Gramsci (1891-1937). Gramsci advocated a “long march through the institutions” (education, religious, political, etc) as the most effective way to conquer a nation. And that is precisely what has happened.
And what have been the results?
TOMORROW’S “LEADERS”
In on-camera interviews with students at the University of California at Berkeley, one of America’s most prestigious “institutes of higher learning,” students were asked a series of very basis questions general knowledge questions. Their “answers” were, shall we say, “educational.”
These airheads are apparently learning nothing of value from their highly-expensive “educational” experience. Their lack of knowledge and understanding of the real world was staggering. They are living in a dream world and will, presumably, graduate to take their place among the “leaders” in government, “education,” industry, the media and other segments of our sick society. To say they are unqualified as “leaders” is to state the obvious.
Are things any better in Britain? Researchers at the University of Warwick in Britain have found that fake video evidence can dramatically alter people’s perceptions of events, even convincing them to testify as an eyewitness to an events that never happened.
Associate Professor Dr. Kimberley Wade from the Department of Psychology, led an experiment to see whether exposure to fabricated footage of an event could induce individuals to accuse another person of doing something they never did. In the study, published in Applied Cognitive Psychology, Dr. Wade found that almost 50% of the people shown fake footage of an event they witnessed first hand were prepared to believe the video version rather than what they actually saw.
Although all the participating subjects had been individually involved in the test and had no personal evidence of any alleged cheating, nearly 50% were willing to believe the “doctored” evidence, and accept as “fact” what they were shown on the fake video.
WAG THE DOG
The reader may remember the 1997 movie, Wag the Dog, starring Dustin Hoffman and Robert DeNiro. In the film, DeNiro starred as the Washington spinmaster who, just weeks prior to a general election, needed a war to distract the public’s attention from a sex scandal involving the president. Hollywood produced graphic video footage of a non-existent “war” that was supposedly raging on the other side of the globe. The plot was successful, and resulted in the reelection of the commander-in chief.
Although the movie was pure fiction, its overall plot is very reminiscent to a number of important events in recent American history. During the early 1960's President John Kennedy moved to bring the United States back under a fully constitutional money system through the issuance of non-interest-bearing United States Notes designed to replace the privately-issued “Federal” Reserve Notes. He also refused to expand the use of American military “advisers” in SE Asia.
On November 22, 1963, Kennedy was assassination for his troubles and was replaced as president by Lyndon Johnson, a notoriously corrupt politician from Texas. Johnson’s mistress of 20 years, Madeleine Duncan Brown, testified on a video recording later that Johnson was heavily involved in the killing. She was with Johnson the night before the assassination when Johnson and some associates “went into this conference room... Lyndon didn’t stay that much in the meeting, and when he came out ... he grabbed me by the arm ... He had a this deep voice and said, ‘After tomorrow the SOB won’t be able to embarrass me again. That’s not a threat, that’s a promise” (See YouTube video of two interviews: Google, Lyndon Johnson and Madeleine Brown). Johnson’s prediction was right on the money. JFK died less than 15 hours later.
Some ten months later, the notorious Texan pulled a “Wag the Dog” trick by conjuring up the infamous and totally fabricated “Gulf of Tonkin incident,” in which American destroyers were allegedly attacked by Vietnamese torpedo boats. The charlatan then used this non-incident to con the Senate into declaring war on the North Vietnamese.
In this context, read the words of Herman Goring, Hitler’s Reichmarschall: “Of course, the people don’t want war. But, after all, it’s the leaders of the country that determine the policy. And it’s always a simple matter to drag the people along... All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to greater danger. It works the same way in any country” (Washington Times, 10/16/03) The rest is history. The “war” that America was forbidden to win, resulted in 58,000 American deaths, 304,000 mutilated and wounded, and untold thousands mentally and emotionally scarred for life as a result of their service in Johnson’s war.
Is telling the truth about this massive deceit a “revolutionary act”?
Then there was George W. Bush’s string of massively deceitful acts following his inauguration in 2001. In order to clear the way for the already-planned “Reshap[ing of] the Middle East” (published in 2000 by the Project For the New American Century) there had to be “some catastrophic and catalyzing event — like a new Pearl Harbor.” That event conveniently took plan eight months later, with the world-changing events of 9/11.
Six days later, Bush signed a 2 ½ page document stamped Top Secret. “This outlined a plan for going to war in Afghanistan as part of a global campaign against terrorism... Almost as a footnote, the document also directed the Pentagon to start planning military options for an invasion of Iraq” (The Washington Post, 1/12/02). As FDR would have said, “It was planned that way.” These acts of “universal deceit” quickly led to the passage of the already-written Homeland Security legislation and the Patriot Act, both of which effectively stripped Americans of many of their constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms. As FDR would have said, “It was planned that way.”
Is telling the truth about this massive deceit a “revolutionary act”?
We now move to current events and the Barack Obama administration which promised us a wonderful new era of “change” and “transparency.” We certainly have had change — from bad to worse. As Charles Krauthammer wrote in the Washington Post: “Obama doesn’t lie. He implies, he misdirects, he misleads — so fluidly and incessantly that he risks transmuting eloquence into mere slickness...” (9/18/09).
In obvious contempt for both their Oath of Office and the American people, President Obama and his liberal/socialist friends on Capitol Hill are, by their out-of-control spending, obscene deficits, refusal to defend the dollar, strenuous opposition to auditing the privately-owned Fed, and other covert activities, busily destroying every last vestige of what was once a truly great nation. In addition, they are now denying the American people the right to read their proposed Socialist “Health Care” legislation on the Internet prior to a vote.
This speaks volumes. Promises of “change” and “transparency” were just cheap campaign gimmicks to sucker the people into voting for their own further enslavement.
“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved” (John 3:19-20).
Again we ask, Is telling the truth about this massive deceit a “revolutionary act”?
It’s long past time for more American to learn to commit such “revolutionary acts.”
