The Jeremiah Coverup

Early in the third millennium we Americans live in a society marinated in fantasy and illusion. We are a society wrapped up, inextricably it seems, in bondage to illusions and delusions - and thus to jealousy, vanity, lust, and greed. If past generations could onlysee us now,they would surely declare that America has jumped the tracks of sanity and gone careening off into a wilderness that history had clearly marked out of bounds to any nation concerned about its own future well-being. Common sense and the lessons of history declare that, as a nation, we are on the fast track to disaster.

To say that in 2006 denial and coverup are more a part of theAmerican scenethan motherhood and apple pie would be an understatement. Most of us are dedicated to both denial and coverup. These are both part of the modern American deathstyle, which many have deluded themselves into believing is a lifestyle to be envied. Devoted to immediate gratification of every lustful passion and every last form of escapism that pops into their unbridled minds, most Americans, like their counterparts in ancient Rome, are engaged in a feverish rush for excitement, for something new to feed the sated senses. Many are consumed with short-term greed. They are dedicated to getting their' s while the getting's good, while little if any thought is given to the effect their actions will have on their personal future - or that of the United States. The attitude of all too many appears to be: Let's eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die. And let posterity be damned. How about you?

TANTAMOUNT TO EGO DESTRUCTION

Probably no greater, no more excruciatingly painful decision faces us as individuals than to come face-to-face with the plain, unvarnished truth about ourselves and those people or things we hold dear - such as the truth about our own natural state as individuals, the truth about our families, our country, our church, our political party, our favorite politician, our favorite actor, our favorite club, etc. These are all things people naturally gravitate toward in an effort to give their otherwise mundane, and often empty and frustrating lives some semblance of meaning and purpose. For better or worse, these are all visible means of support props or comfort zones as it were that can contribute to our overall psychological well-being.

It has been written that - to believe we could be wrong about something - almost anything - is unfortunately a very ego-shattering experience for some (if not most) human beings. The exposure of myths and biases can be so psychologically disruptive as to be tantamount to complete ego destruction.

When the security blanket is gone, so is the particular niche of comfort into which we can conveniently creep when some challenging new thought comes along to disturb our mental processes. We have our first line of defenses against truth, and they are much more effective than any radar set or military advanced-warning missile system. They unfailingly tell us that we are not wrong but right after all!

Most people resist any new truth with a whole series of first-line defenses and several backup systems to boot! But when truth finally exhausts all their defenses, they are forced to resort to that one-and-only tired old excuse: Just who do you think you are? Where did you get your authority from? If all else fails, people tend to fall back on this "put down" (Good News magazine, October 1975).

Let's face it! We have all practiced and seen many others practice such deceitful and reality-defying methods as we have gone through life. From time to time we have all used a wide range of excuses or employed a wide variety of guises and disguises in attempting to deny reality or cover up some unpleasant truths about ourselves, somebody close to us, or some other entity to which we have ties. Why? We didn' t want to be embarrassed or made to look bad to others. Perish the thought. After all, what would people say if the truth were ever to come out, and we were to be seen in an unfavorable light?

Such an attitude is, of course, a manifestation of what is called human nature the fallen condition into which we were all born and which reveals itself in so many ways in the human experience. It' s par for the course the way we are naturally! Although on the personal level it may be modified through what is called behavior modification, it can never be conquered on the human level. Human nature is a constant. It may in some respects be likened to a dog which is constantly snarling at and biting people. You can place a muzzle on the dog ( behavior modification !) but the muzzle has no real affect on A the nature of the beast. In reality, it still remains a snapping and snarling dog. Nothing has really changed. We may use a variety of fig leaves or psychological ploys to address the issue or cover our nakedness but these won' t solve the problem. These human ploys deal only with the symptoms, not the problem itself. The problem remains. We must all ultimately face the fact that there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed; and hid that shall not be made known (Matthew 10:26).

Throughout man's six thousand year history on planet earth he has devised an almost infinite number of systems, schemes, philosophies and other plots and ploys in a desperate and never-ending effort to save himself from this wretched situation. But without success. Oh, what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive ourselves into believing we can rescue ourselves from this fallen condition. Because of this deception, and its unwillingness to face reality about its own condition, the human race now finds itself dangling, as it were, at the end of its rope with its eyes popping out, ready to expire.

THE NATURE OF THE A BEAST

QUESTION: What IS the nature of the human beast ? There are basically two world views: The humanistic view (shared by, among many others, socialists, liberals, communists and masons) is that man is basically good. This belief system alleges that man is a victim of his own environment, a victim of all the false ideas and concepts particularly those of a Christian or biblical nature that clutter up and distort his mind and cause all types of harmful guilt complexes. In a 1983 article entitled A Religion for A New Age, one of their spokesmen John Dunphy pontificated: I am convinced that the battle for humankind's future must be waged and won in the public classroom by teachers who correctly perceive their role as the proselytizers of a new faith: a religion of humanity that recognizes the spark that theologians call the spark of divinity in every human being. These teachers must embody the same selfless dedication as the most rabid fundamentalist preacher, for they will be ministers of another sort, utilizing a classroom instead of a pulpit to convey humanist values in whatever subject they teach, regardless of the educational level preschool, day school, daycare, or large state university. The classroom must become an arena of conflict between the old and the new the rotting corpse of Christianity, together with all its adjacent evils and misery, and a new faith of humanism, resplendent in its promise of a world in which the never-realized Christian ideal of "love thy neighbor" will finally be achieved (The Humanist magazine, January/February 1983).

In other words, humanists believe that most of the mental turmoil and frustration experienced by mankind is caused by the teaching of the ten commandments (no other god beside the Creator, no worshiping of idols of any kind, honor your father and mother, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not covet (See, Exodus 20:1-17), and by Jesus' teaching in the sermon on the mount (Matthew, chapters 5-7). They are so terribly negative, so abominably restrictive and guilt-producing that they take all the joy and excitement out of life. Such teachings allegedly cause only "evil and misery".

REPROBATE MIND

This type of reasoning is a perfect example of what the Apostle Paul meant when he wrote in Romans 1:28: And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge [i.e., their educational system] God gave them over to a reprobate mind. Webster defines reprobate as not enduring proof or trial; not of standard purity or fineness... A person abandoned to sin; lost to virtue or grace. Synonyms for reprobate include immoral, debased, depraved, and perverted. To such a twisted mind, right is wrong, good is bad, up is down, black is white, truth is falsehood. In 2006, those who buy into such idiocy are deemed to be politically correct.

Possessors of this warped humanist mindset (one that rejects belief in Almighty God, the Designer, the Law-giver, the Life-giver, as well as being the Creator and Sustainer of all things) have swallowed the Satanic lie that they can be "as god" (Genesis 3:5). They believe that collective man the State is god, and solely capable of making up its own rules as to what is right and what is wrong. Also, as Satan is determined to be like the Most High ( Isaiah 14:14) he must imitate Him, and thus establish a form of government that mirrors, as closely as possible, the attributes of the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-powerful Creator God.

Seen any evidence of this recently in America?

Being jealous and vengeful, the state god ultimately won't tolerate any "competition" from anyone particularly the true Creator and Sustainer of all things. This attempt at the greatest identity theft of all time this attempt to appear as god is having deadly results.

Carried away by the perceived brilliance of what is in reality a pathologically flawed premise and in their self-appointed role as god the world's humanists are working furiously to promote their new faith of humanism, resplendent [glorious, magnificent and unrestrained, ed.] in its promise of a world in which the never-realized Christian ideal of love thy neighbor will finally be achieved.

[The basis of their planned New World Order may be traced back to Nimrod' s Babylon, at which time Satan (aka Lucifer) established his alternate world system and set about establishing a one world government under the direction of his human agents (Genesis, chapters 10 and 11). Please notice their "we shall do a better job than God" claim: Not understanding or being unwilling to accept biblical revelation, the religious humanists declare that God, in the person of Christ, failed to create a Utopian world. Now man, as god, is going to finally achieve that idyllic, Utopian situation all on his own. In effect, what the humanists are saying is, "Stand on one side, God you miserable failure and we' ll show you how it should be done!" Is this not the ultimate insanity?

CLASSROOMS AS ARENAS OF CONFLICT

Over the last seventy years the God-defying humanists have certainly been using the classrooms of America as arenas of conflict. With their captive audiences they have toiled tirelessly to undermine such biblical values as set standards, honesty and integrity, morality, individual self-government and personal responsibility, all of which were instrumental in making America great. With equal intensity they have used the classrooms of the nation to promote ideas that have historically proven to be highly destructive in every society where they have been implemented. In society after society, these false premises have left most of their victims in a helpless state of confusion and unable to think rationally and constructively with regard to their own future and that of their nation. Here we see an almost perfect fulfillment of the educational goals laid out by the Rockefeller-funded General Education Board in 1904: In our dreams we have limitless resources and the people yield themselves with perfect docility to our molding hands. The present education conventions fade from their minds, and unhampered by tradition [biblical values, set standards of right and wrong, love of country, etc.] we work our good will upon a grateful and responsive rural folk... (Occasional Letter, #1).

In other words, over the last hundred plus years the American people have in effect been the unwitting victims of subliminal manipulation and mass hypnosis.

WE ARE AT WAR

Most of us are oblivious of the fact that for more than one hundred years our nation has been at war, and under relentless attack. This mostly unrecognized war has been raging across the board on every level in every city of every state. Relentless assaults have come from every point of the compass and have been focused as every aspect of American life political, social, economic, educational, and spiritual. The results are all around us. Most people have been left in a state of mindless impotence, unsure of almost everything and afraid to ask questions lest they be faced with truths they are unwilling to address. Think about it. Is this not a clear case of scientifically created mental retardation?

As columnist Leonard Pitts Jr. wrote recently, Jack Nicholson [in a movie] was right, We can' t handle the truth.... The truth, period.... Once upon a time we all drew upon a common pool of facts. You might interpret them differently than I, but we could have an honest disagreement because the facts themselves were not in contention.

But now we have designer facts, facts that aren't facts but they gain currency because somebody wanted to believe them. The thing is, facts that really are facts, truth that really is truth, doesn't always validate our beliefs. Sometimes it challenges and confounds them. That' s probably the problem.

Designer facts are easy because they are soothing, because they are predictable, because they never make you think, only react. But they also leave us talking past each other because we no longer operate from the same assumptions or speak the same language. You may feel the shirt looks better in black and I may think it looks better in white, but if we can't even agree on what black and white are, we can' t have the argument.' We have no basis for conversation (The Oregonian, 2/14/ 06).

Such created conditions are ideal for getting a dumbed-down public to yield themselves with perfect docility into the hands of the mind manipulators or change agents who are working behind the scenes to create their slave state euphemistically known as the new world order.

Another important aspect of this war on America is the fact that the enemy employs highly trained psychological snipers to carry out character assassinations on those who understand what is going on, tell the truth, expose their plans and document their diabolical agenda. These assassinations are frequently carried out by the use of gross misrepresentations, half-truths, innuendos, or smears the use of words or phrases calculated to create negative responses in the minds of readers or listeners. Someone has pointed out that such tactics betray a fundamental weakness and defect in the character of those who use such tactics, a insecurity and lack of confidence in their ability to intelligently defend their position. Smear is a weak man' s excuse. It is an asinine or sophomoric form of emotional release and an extremely poor substitute for rational, reasonable dialogue and debate. Period!

IGNORING THE CREATOR

This whole hideous political, social, economic and spiritual mess in which we find ourselves in 2006 is the direct result of our adamant refusal to acknowledge and come to grips with our true physical and spiritual condition. Because our national leaders have chosen to ignore the Creator and his word (which is truth, John 17:17, the Lord Jesus Christ who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and have thrown that divine revelation out of the classrooms and courtrooms of our nation (Romans 1:28) they have been given over to reprobate minds. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools (v.22). Without understanding (v.31), they changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator who is blessed for ever. Amen (v.25). For these reasons God gave them over to vile affections (v.26). These depraved characteristics are abundantly evident in today's America!

In a complete denial of reality, this actual and verifiable condition is scoffed at and ridiculed by most of those who are looked upon as experts. Playing their role as god, they don' t want to be confused with the facts. And they adamantly refuse to admit the role they have played in creating current conditions.

MANUFACTURER'S MANUAL

Rejecting fantasy, let us go to the only source available by which we may get to the root of the problem: our manufacturer's instruction book, His manual, the Bible. Of course, in today' s sophisticated world this suggestion is met with hoots of derision. To many who have been dragged though the government-controlled, taxpayer-financed brain laundries euphemistically called public schools, nothing could sound more ludicrous. Then, one must remember that to be sophisticated one must engage in sophistry: fallacious reasoning; reasoning sound in appearance only.... one who adulterates [and uses] fallacious arguments (Webster Dictionary, 1828). Such reasoning is always sophomoric in nature. My mind is made up. Don' t confuse me with the facts.

We need to listen up and pay attention to reality! God's word declares emphatically that, The heart of man is desperately wicked. Who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9). In the New Testament, this is backed up by an equally forceful statement: The carnal mind [the normal, natural, fleshy mind with which we are all born] is enmity toward God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be (Romans 8:7). Did you get it? Naturally, on our own we are all incapable of recognizing our inherent deceitfulness (A Who can know it?). And, naturally, through our own efforts, we neither indeed can be subject to God's law.

These two statements cover the whole gamut of human experience. Try as we may, using the full range of ploys and gimmicks, and employing all the mental gymnastics devised by mankind from the beginning of time, we can do nothing to save ourselves. Individual redemption and salvation can only come through an sovereign act of a Sovereign God.. Even when we were dead in sins, [God] has quickened us [made us alive] with Christ, (by grace you are saved;)....

For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works [anything we can do!], lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:5,8-10).

For example, the Apostle Paul many years after his miraculous conversion on the road to Damascus (Acts, chapter 9) declared: I know that in me, that is in my flesh, dwells no good things: for to will is present with me, but to perform that which is good, I find not (Romans 7:18). As Paul - who was inspired by the Creator to write 14 books of the New Testament and was one of the greatest theologian of all time - made such an unreserved acknowledgment of basic reality, should not all who are called by God be equally specific? The answer seems obvious!

A few verses later the Apostle Paul cries out: O wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from the body of this death.

I thank God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Romans 7:24-25; 8:1).

To the natural, carnal fleshly mind one that has wholeheartedly swallowed the Satanic lie that it can be "as god"- this is a major stumbling block or just plain " foolishness" (a folly or foolish practice, Webster). But to those that are called (and saved) it is the power of God, and the wisdom of God (I Corinthians 1:23,24,18; 2:14).

It is important to note that Satan and the human instruments through whom he works thought that crucifying Christ was a masterful idea and would end all their problems. In fact it was the dumbest plan even hatched in Satan's diabolical mind. He didn't fully understand the plan and purpose of the Creator and the fact that through Christ's sacrificial death the elect would be redeemed and that by his subsequent resurrection they would be saved (Romans 5:6-10). As scripture says, none of the princes of this world knew (this); for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory (I Corinthians 2:8). In their wilful rebellion and hatred of the One who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), they sealed their own miserable fate!

BASIC REALITY 101

The Satanically-inspired "I shall be as God" aspect of human nature manifests itself from birth. It shows up in a vast variety of guises and disguises, such as when a child stamps his (or her!) feet and starts screaming in an attempt to impose their childish, "I shall be as God" will on their parents or others. Diverse forms of this juvenile behavior may be witnessed in almost every type of human relationship. Keep looking around and keep your ears open. You will be bombarded with undeniable evidence from very direction. It's Basic Human Reality 101! In biblical terms, human nature reveals itself in what is called, " the works of the flesh" :

Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like... (Galatians 5:19-21). Many millions of Americans (and, of course, untold millions around the world) pay huge amounts of money to have spectacular dramatizations of these works of the flesh pumped into their living rooms, bedrooms, and even kitchens via cable TV. The American public is apparently so addicted to this demoralizing and destructive filth that even the big networks such as ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, and CNN - in order to keep their ratings high and advertising revenues pouring in are pandering to the lascivious cravings of the public by airing shows specifically designed to feed the basest of human instincts. As the Bible declares, Every man is (1) tempted when he is (2) drawn away of his own lust (human nature), and enticed. Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth (3) sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth (4) death (James 1:14-15). The individual makes definite decisions throughout the whole process. Unless individually recognized, understood, and properly handled it inevitably leads to all types of trouble. Without the strictest supervision and management, one can't have multiple sewer pipes (TV channels and Internet sites!) pumped into their homes without becoming contaminated! Even with a full acknowledgment and understanding of how the "I shall be as God" aspect of human nature works, we can all sometimes be deceived and led astray. It is only with divine help that it can be mostly controlled. Total conquest will never be accomplished in this life.

ONLY TWO FORMS OF GOVERNMENT

To understand more clearly how human nature operates, we need to realize that there are basically only two forms of government: God's, and Satan's. The latter is characterized by the use of pressure, coercion, harassment and intimidation. As Satan has deceived the whole world (Revelation 12:9), it is only natural that his form of government should be dominant in society at large. And so it is. These forms of manipulation and control are consistently evident in personal relationships, in business, politics, and religion. They inevitably lead to rebellion, bitterness and frustration. Most people have such a low level of awareness that the manipulators can work their wicked will on them without their being aware of it. The populace is thus controlled by externally manipulated subliminal and hypnotic forces which are craftily used to manipulate them into going along with various agendas which most don't recognize as being destructive of their own long-term welfare. Witness America 1933-2006!

God's method of government is completely different. It works internally, from the inside out instead of externally from the outside in! As the Lord Jesus Christ declared, " the Spirit of truth ... will GUIDE you into all truth" (John 16:13). Notice that there is no pressure, harassment, coercion and intimidation involved. That is NOT God's way! As shown earlier, the real problem with mankind is that as a result of the fall " the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9). In other words, what is naturally and inherently inside man needs to be changed. He desperately needs a heart transplant!

Our Creator has graciously provided for this desperate need. Under the terms of the New Covenant: I (God) will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord; for they all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquities, and remember their sins no more (Jeremiah 31:33-34).

Notice that this is all the work of the sovereign God. He takes the initiative. It's HIS decision, not man's! He raises to life those who were " dead in trespasses and sin." (Ephesians 2:1). "Even when we were dead in sins, hath God quickened us [made us alive] with Christ, (by grace you are saved;) and has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus... For by grace are you saved, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which HE has before ordained that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:5-6,8-10). " With men it is impossible; but not with God; for with God all things are possible" (Mark 10:27).

In the final analysis, what the " we shall be as god" Satan-inspired humanists are attempting to do in the flesh (by human works) is what God alone is capable of doing through the power of the Holy Spirit. Remember, Satan declared, "I will be like the Most High." Satan is extremely WILLFUL. Webster defines that word as meaning, " Governed by the will without yielding to reason; obstinate; stubborn; perverse, inflexible".

THE JEREMIAH COVERUP

The above is 100 percent biblical - 100 percent the truth. But it is also 100 percent denied and impugned by those who believe that God is lying when, through Jeremiah, he declares that " the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked." They want to coverup that grim human reality by demonizing all those who tell it like it is. It is a truth they will deny with every fiber of their being until they are cast screaming into the lake of fire.

This denial and coverup of the truth stated in Jeremiah 17:9 (THE JEREMIAH COVERUP) is compounded by the fact that the same people take to themselves the divine prerogative of making mankind " perfect." As quoted above, they want to " bury the [alleged] rotting corpse of Christianity" and save the world through the new faith of humanism, resplendent in its promise of a world in which the never-realized Christian ideal of love thy neighbor will finally be achieved. (Webster defines " faith" as, " Belief; the assent of the mind to the truth of what is declared by another" or " a proposition advanced by another." )

DECISION TIME

We are all faced with a major decision: Who are we to believe: (1) the humanists who engage in " fallacious reasoning" and use sophomoric " fallacious arguments"? Or will we believe the Sovereign God who created and sustains all things by the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1-5)?

In the final analysis, it all boils down to one basic question: Which God are you - personally and individually - going to worship and serve? It is going to be "the god of this world (Satan) who has blinded the eyes of them which believe not" (II Corinthians 4:4) and all that he stands for? Or is it going to be the one true living God of the Bible?

"Why halt you between two opinions? If the Lord be God, follow him; but if Baal [or Satan, be your god], then follow him" (I Kings 18:21). O
